mo.button

The tiny cylinder for the electrical connection of all handlebar fittings, switches and buttons helps to reduce 'cable clutter' and simplify wiring harnesses. Can be used with the mo.unit blue and mo.unit basic.

The mo.button together with the mo.unit blue is a great help to reduce 'cable clutter' and simplify wiring harnesses. With this tiny cylinder in the steering tube - or in other suitable places - all handlebar fittings, switches and buttons are electrically connected.

The mo.button digitally processes the signals and sends them to the mo.unit blue via a single, thin cable using state-of-the-art bus technology. There, the consumers are then switched on and off. All control lines go into the handlebars. This saves space, weight, work and time. A must for custom bikes with a clean look on the handlebar.

With 'normal' wiring of the handlebar switches, the working current (e.g. light/indicator) is routed directly via the handlebar switch. Thus, because of the current strength correspondingly large cable cross-sections must be led from the fuse box to the switch and back to the consumer. This quickly results in thick wiring harnesses. For custom bikes with little space or hidden electrics a 'no-go'.

With the mo.unit blue without mo.button, only a thin cable would have to be routed to the mo.unit blue for each switch or button function. Only minimal control pulses are forwarded here. All large loads and currents are switched directly at the mo.unit blue and routed directly to the consumer. A significant reduction and simplification of the wiring harness can already be achieved in this way.

The mo.unit blue in conjunction with the mo.button minimize the cable routes to be laid again. All switches / buttons on the handlebars are connected to the mo.button on the shortest path, inside the handlebars. From the mo.button then only ONE thin cable is led to the mo.unit. The loads and currents are switched - as explained above - directly at the mo.unit blue. Less cable does not work.

The mo.button is completely waterproof and encapsulated to withstand vibration.
